TODAY: Rhode Island Contract Vote
Brothers and Sisters,
This is a reminder that Rhode Island Members will vote on a new contract today, Thursday, June 4, 2020 from 3-6 PM.
This week, we worked hard to negotiate a new contract with our SMACNA contractors in Rhode Island. Our contractors have offered a $1.50/hour increase for one year.
All voting will take place at the Rhode Island Union Hall, 22 Amflex Drive, Cranston, RI. Voting will be conducted as a drive-up vote.
Here is the drive-up voting process:
- All members must stay in their vehicles.
- One person should be in each vehicle.
- You must wear a mask.
- Drive up to receive your ballot.
- Drive to the end of the Hall, where someone will be there to take your ballot and drop it in the ballot box for you.
Please note that our current contract has been extended until Friday, June 5. For that reason, all members will be expected to report to work tomorrow regardless of election outcome. We’ll keep you apprised of next steps when this extension expires.
If you have further questions, please call the Union Hall at (617) 296-1680.
