Ronald Pennie’s Story: Back on the Job
Brothers and Sisters,
When a dirt biking accident left Ronnie Pennie fighting for his life, he wasn’t alone. His family was by his side – and so was Sheet Metal Workers Local 17.
Through hospital visits, heartfelt messages, the security of union health insurance, and SASMI disability benefits, Ronnie had the support he needed to focus on what mattered most: recovering. With his Local 17 brothers and sisters and his employer, Cox Engineering, standing by him, Ronnie’s path to healing was filled with strength and solidarity.
Today, Ronnie is back on the job, more resilient than ever before. His story is a testament to the power of solidarity, family, and the shared values that make Local 17 a true community.
