Important Announcement – SASMI Work Book Benefit Program

We want to bring your immediate attention to an important announcement regarding a potential security breach with the SASMI work boot program. Please see this post from SASMI:
Recently, SASMI has received reports of suspicious charges on Members’ credit cards that indicate there might have been a breach of their credit card information. Our security team, as well as those of our vendor(s) have been closely monitoring the situation. We are working diligently to investigate the matter to ensure the safety and security of our members’ sensitive information.
The reports suggest there could have been malicious activity regarding the Union Boot Pros website. The reports point to several participants who have entered their credit card information on this website when completing the SASMI work boot incentive. Participants have reported receiving charges to walmart.com on the credit card they used at the Union Boot Pros website. Again, we are working diligently to investigate the matter and ensure the safety and security of our members’ sensitive information.
To address this issue effectively, we have stopped credit card transactions through this program. Going forward, members, upon approval, will now only be required to provide their coupon code. The full cost of the boots will be paid by SASMI. Members that paid a balance for amounts greater than the original $275 in the past will be refunded, to the card they used originally, the amount they were charged (this process may take up to 3 weeks).
