Happy Labor Day from Local 17!
Labor Day holds much more significance than just an extended weekend break. It’s a time to acknowledge and appreciate the impact of the labor movement, which has been instrumental in shaping our country. The labor movement upholds dignity, respect, and fair pay for workers while building communities and fueling the economy through union jobs.
We are incredibly grateful for the efforts of our membership and proud of the work the union does to promote top-notch benefits and working conditions for all workers. Today and tomorrow, we will continue to create high-paying jobs, demand dignity and respect for our members, and build up our New England communities through solid union work.
This holiday weekend, we honor the labor movement and all the benefits we are able to enjoy because of it. Happy Labor Day!
